ARISTEAN TIME ZONE©
This
proposed Aristean Time Zone divides the world into 20 time zones. Following the
Aristean Decimal Time where a day is 100 aristos long, the day starts at the present
6:00pm instead of midnight. The first 50 aristos are for the nighttime part of
the day and the last 50 aristos are for the daytime part of the day.
Each time
zone is 18 degrees longitude wide compared to the present 15 degrees. Hence, it
is 20 percent wider and encompasses more of a country to just be under one time
zone. A time zone has 5 aristos and is equivalent to the present 1 hour and 12
minutes.
The
International Date Line (IDL) is located at 180 degrees West Longitude or 180
degrees East Longitude, or its new Longitude as 0 degree. It is in Zone 1 and
is at the midpoint of the band of the Zone. This will have the reference time,
military and aviation (may be called as Alpha time to avoid being confused with
Zulu time) and astronomical (decimal part of the Julian-Aristean Time (JAT))
times. Even though the reference point is at IDL and there is no observatory
there, the accurate time at IDL can still be maintained or kept at some
observatories somewhere in the world.
If the
world is made up of 360 degrees, the zero (0) degree Longitude or Prime
Meridian is at IDL, and the counting is eastward. And if the world’s Longitude is made up of100
units to make it decimal, likewise, the zero Longitude or Prime Meridian will
be at IDL, and the counting is eastward.
In order not to be confused with Longitude, the meridian is called “aristitude”,
the combination form of Aristean Longitude.
Letters of
the alphabet, except I and O which could be confused with 1 and 0,
respectively, are assigned to represent each time zone. The letters have equivalent phonetic names,
thus, zone 10 is K and its phonetic name is kilo. This phonetic name aids clarity during voice
communication. To write the time, if the
local time in Paris, France (Zone 11), for example, is 88.8 aristos, the letter
of the time zone is appended to the time, thus, 88.8L.

Countries in Time Zones 1 to 20
If a country
is almost divided in half by a time zone boundary, E(ast) and W(est) are used
to indicate the part of the country in the Time Zone. If it is divided into
three zones like Brazil, mid is assigned as well. The country decides the
zone(s) it wants to adopt.
The
following countries span at least three time zones:

Note: Time in yellow-colored cells indicates a date
one day earlier than that at the International Date Line. Time in non-colored cells indicates the date
is the same as the date at the International Date Line.
Aside from
using the above preceding two tables, determining the time of a time zone can
be calculated as illustrated in http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader888/findtime.htm.
