WILL ALL CHRISTIANS BE IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION?©
In Revelation 20:1-3, an angel “seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the (bottomless) pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he (Satan) must be loosed for a little while.”
Rev. 20:4-6 states those who will reign with Jesus in the thousand years. John, in his vision, saw those “to whom judgment was committed” and they were seated in thrones. Notice: the word is thrones. Plural. Who are they? The twenty-four elders mentioned in Rev. 4:4?
John also “saw the souls of those:
a. who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and
b. who had not worshipped the beast or its image, and
c. who had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.”
Notice all the three conditions that these souls have to satisfy because of the “and” links. Will ALL Christians be in this “first resurrection”? If they were beheaded as stated in condition a, they might, provided they also meet conditions b and c.
These souls “came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years” as “priests of God and of Christ.” “This is the first resurrection.” These souls who share in the first resurrection are blessed and made holy and the second death has no power over them, meaning, they will not experience the second death anymore, that being thrown into the lake of fire.
It is “when the thousand years are ended” that “Satan will be loosed from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations.” (Rev. 20:7-8)
What does your church teach? Is it like this? That you, as a believing Christian, will be resurrected to reign with Jesus during the thousand years and will not suffer the second death at all?
The peace of the true God be with us now and forever.
